Where is the Right to Choose?

So where do the "right" to choose come from? I can't find it anywhere in the constitution. I can find a place where it talks about life. The three unalienable rights: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Well I can see the pro-life stance in there. One can not infringe on those three rights of some one else, and when you have an abortion you have just infringed on the child's right to all three because you have denied it life, you killed it against its will so you have denied it liberty, and the unborn child has not been allowed to live so you have denied it happiness. So, in the constitution we have an argument against abortion, what can we find for abortion? I could see and argument that we have liberty and therefore we can abort a pregnancy, but that in itself is infringing on the rights of another like I covered before. That trumps all. You have liberties and rights but they are not allowed to infringe on the rights of others, and abortion does just that.

Big Brother is Coming

http://www.eweek.com/c/a/Security/Bill-Grants-President-Unprecedented-Cyber-Security-Powers-504520/

"The Cybersecurity Act of 2009 introduced in the Senate would allow the president to shut down private Internet networks. The legislation also calls for the government to have the authority to demand security data from private networks without regard to any provision of law, regulation, rule or policy restricting such access."

What this means is, The government is trying to get the power to monitor anything and everything that they feel like on the internet. This includes all private communication through any media.

"Oh no, Bush is at it again!"

Wait a second hes gone... who possibly could be doing this? Who possibly could be working to steal our privacy as American citizens? Well ladies and gentlemen it is none other than our saviors, the Democrats. This bill was authored and primarily sponsored by liberal Democrats.

Finally, we can see the truth about the people in Washington. This isn't about left or right, Republican or Democrat, all of those people are actors on a stage. Its a big political soap and we are all so convinced it real. The government is about who can get control, who can keep it, and who can get the most without an uprising. The time to wake up is now. We have two years until we can do something about this. I just how we are not beyond repair... Lord help our country.

Acceptance

I have been doing some thinking about my life and the world around me. Through watching people in their lives facing events and issues I have realized that for every event we are given two options. Either we can define ourselves through events or we can define events through our actions. I have been seeing most people doing the former. This presents a problem.
When one defines their life through the events they lived through what they are really doing is bringing a piece of themselves to the event (this is usually a negative event but it works for any event). The problem here is as you bring part of yourself to an issue you are breaking yourself. Through bringing yourself to issues you will find that you will soon no longer be a figurative whole person. Now what I mean by bringing yourself to an issue is: when you leave what you are capable of doing to try to effect things that you can not or are not able to handle. It is just like trying to stop a lawn mower blade with your hand, when you don't have the proper equipment you will loose your hand.
In this world one must sit back and handle things as they come. One must stay where they are able to grapple with a problem safely. If you can't change it, don't worry about it. That is useless stress. Just accept what has happened and move on.

I'm sorry if this is just some strange rambling...it is 3 am after all...

The Machine is Broken

In my time in the government education system I have realized somthing. Most teachers, even those at colleges...especially those at colleges are morons! With this new semester I have seen many new professers and many new students and I'm astounded, I have several statements for the general public which have been inspired by this "good" thing we call the college experience.

-the words "da" and "dat" do not excist in the english language

-its calculater not celcalator or calcoolater

-and my favorite: if C is average, half of the students should be below that. There is a required grade average of C-. Shouldn't it then follow that about 25%-33% of the students here at college not be here?

The fact of the matter is a college degree no longer means you are smart or educated. It just means you managed to hang on for the ride. It is too easy to slide on through the educational system without being challanged; but more importantly it is to easy to go through  this broken  machine and not even LEARN ANYTHING.  Somethings wrong...

Did you know that there is no part of the Constitution, Declaration of Independance, or even the Bill of Rights which states that the government should provide an education system. I believe this was not just an oversight. The Founding Fathers realized that a governmental education system would turn into a broken buracratic machine.

A broken machine makes defective products and that is what is wrong with our country, plain and simple.

The Government and Marriage

I can't believe it...I think the left finally did something good. I support the NJ Supreme Court whole hearted. Their decision on same sex marriage actually makes sense. Their decision to mandate some sort of partnership for gays is genius. Now I just hope that the state legislature will do the right thing and create a civil union idea not to add to marriage. This is the only sensible thing to do.
The real thing that needs to be done is complete marriage reform. By this I mean the government needs to get out of marriage completely. Marriage is about love. Love is spiritual. Therefore, due to separation of church and state, the government can not make laws about marriage.
What we need is a program to help any two people who head a household. This needs to be a civil union type idea. Providing all the legal benefits of current marriage but without the name. Marriage is spiritual, government, GET OUT!

Plutonian Eclipse

What is so important about pluto being demoted? It didn't change pluto, I mean pluto doesn't know. The "planet" is an invention of man. Pluto is exactly the way it was last year. I bet it hasn't really changed since it was discovered. People, DEAL WITH IT!! I have heard enough about Pluto. We should be focusing on REAL science. What might we have missed with all this excitement over Pluto?
Did anyone notice when scientists found dark matter? They did. We still don't know what it is, but now we have proof it is there. Don't believe me? Google it, see what you find. This is just another example of the messed up priorities of modern man.
On top of eclipsing real news, Pluto has managed to prove more important to the state of California than real legislation. I can't believe that California actually released a formal declaration stating their disgust with the the demotion of Pluto. Come on, try doing something about illegal immigration before you complain about Pluto.

I need a vacation from the humans,

Petrafied Right

Don't get me wrong, I believe in the conservative movement. But, I wish the republicans would do something. I agree 95% with the ideas of Bush and his party, but thats the extent of my support. The republicans have control of all parts of the national government, so my question is why haven't they done anything? What do we have to do, as conservatives, to get our party to do something? The republicans need to be threatened. It is the only way to save our country.
In my time of watching the political parties I have noticed a scary trend. No one wants to do anything! So what is the point? We, as conservatives need to send a message to our party. Just not voting is not enough. If you can bring yourself to, I call for you to vote against our party. I wish I could take part in this, but when faced with the lunatics running for the DFL here in Minnesota I just can't bring myself to do it. I have tried to motivate my representatives in congress and it does nothing. They have become numb to complaints of their own people. People they claim to represent. I know I don't have some one taking the action I want to see.
We have tried everything we could while staying loyal, but it is time to fight back. Our party no long represents it's members. The republican party has become the party of inaction, and this must be stopped! We, as voters, need to realize that our party is no longer conservative. It is nothing. You can't be right or left wing when you have nothing to be rated on. But, you can be a chicken wing, they don't do anything, they just sit there and get eaten. Just like the republican party being eaten up by the liberal media. So remember, when you vote on the 7th you are note going to be voting for the republican right wingers, you are voting for the republican chicken wingers.
We need to change our party through with the only tool we have left, our votes.

So long, and good luck,

-Locke
